The hotel is gated, and I’m not sure if it’s because of the area or a particular concern regarding the building. There are really no amenities, but that was to be expected. "I never stay at a LaQuinta. This was a one off because in Memphis it is a challenge to find a decent hotel. I chose this place because it was brand new. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The area is close to a major highway and intersection so easy access. The clerks were plesant. However. "The price is quite low and affordable, that's a big plus. The rooms are ok, there is breakfast but not a fancy one (still better than nothing). The biggest issue is the location. It is in West Memphis, and when trying to call an Uber (it's 10-15 minutes ride to downtown), the cars simply don't come to West Memphis. Getting an Uber from downtown to West Memphis works, but calling an Uber from West Memphis is a big problem (at least we didn't succeed and had to call a local taxi every time)....

"In town for business at the Renaissance Convention Center, which was very conveniently located (7-min walk). The hotel is not modern, but has a very responsible staff, and they keep the facilities clean in the best condition. I had to check out many hours before my flight departure, and they were able to store my luggage for me. The breakfast impressed me, and it was actually quite good! The staff working the breakfast buffet was by far the friendliest and I really enjoyed getting to talk to...
