"This was a great stay. When I arrived they let me know that I had gotten a free upgrade to have my own shower and double bed. The room was clean and very comfortable. The day of my birthday, I returned later in the evening and was gifted a small box of chocolates as well as a very nice note with well wishes. The staff went above and beyond throughout my stay and were all very friendly. Absolutely recommend staying here."

"Hostal Operaramblas is located just off Las Ramblas which is a perfect location for touring the Gothic Quarter and the waterfront. This is a very clean hotel with small rooms that are space efficient. It works really well for touring and enjoying the city and using your room to sleep. Close to Lucier Metro stop. Restaurants and cafes nearby. Front desk provided great assistance with restaurant choice. "

"Located in the working class neighborhood with novelty & meat shops all over-the area.It is a nicely renovated old building with premium coffee available 24/7 in the breakfast area. There are a lot of ethnic shops/ restaurants around, including traditional Barcelona/Spanish bakery/cafes. Just a few minutes walk there is a vibrant local market open late at night under one roof where one can buy anything & everything, eateries with fresh seafood/meat prepared on order. Juice bars, bakeries, pizza...

"Great location, within walking distance to everything. It is near University: lots of nightlife. The hostal is very basic, do not expect anything fancy. Tiny elevator and narrow stairs. It is clean and the front desk is friendly and helpful. They do have front desk 24/7. "
