Also, about an hour from the touristy areas, Hagia Sophia etc. the area has bed afternoon traffic and I actually had to get out of a cab and run for a mile before traffic cleared to get into a diff cab to catch a train to Bulgaria. "Emek Hotel allowed us to check in at 9:00 am which is amazing. My kids were awake every morning by 3:30 so we naturally had breakfast by 4:30 am and headed to the mosque for prayer. The location is ideal and close to many things, Hagia Sofia and Sultan Ahmet are a 13 minute walk, Yeni Dzamija is a 15 minute walk, a boat ride of the phosphorus is 13 minute walk, etc. In terms of the hotel, they have the cutest elevator.
