"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"

"Great B&B. Cosy room, excellent breakfast and welcoming pub downstairs. Would stay again but I’d book independently as YOU, HOTELS.COM did not pass on my payment to the Bootham and YOU told the Bootham I was 2 persons and needed to be charged double for breakfasts! I had to prove I’d paid for my stay when I arrived which made me feel very uncomfortable and I hold YOU, HOTELS.COM entirely responsible and in no way am I annoyed with the Bootham B&B. They were brilliant at resolving the mix up...

"Quiet neighborhood within walking distance of York sights. Breakfast was delicious, but it cost £15 per person. The cook staff was wonderful. Two small problems… be sure to tell them in advance if you need a parking spot. We almost didn’t get one. It was £10 per night for parking with the hotel. It would have cost more in the nearby lot. Also, no one went in our room to freshen the dishes or towels. All that said, it was clean and comfortable and in a great location. "

"We arrived to be told that they had no record of our booking. Even though they had twice sent an email confirmation. At the very last minute we had to find somewhere else which cost considerably more and was 2 miles out of york. Totally ruined our weekend. Their excuse was they dont use expedia any more. The hotel looked pretty shabby anyway. Parking was a joke and the owners were not very apologetic at what had happened"
