"The room was absolutely disgusting. the smell in the room was awfull! there was mold all over the ceiling near the bathroom, the sink and bath tub had rust all over it. and the ice bucket had old food in it. thankfully the girl a tthe front desk gave us a new one. the side walks are all cracked and wobbly, but this place needs to be condemned its not safe and is a healthy hazard. DO NOT STAY HERE BY ANY MEANS NECCESSARY"

"It was very comfortable and peaceful. A great place to stay. It's pricey, but everything on the island is these days. The staff are all really friendly and helpful."

"It was a good stay, very quiet not a lot of traffic. Just wish the room was a little bigger and had somewhere to hang up clothes and an ironing board, my clothes had to stay in my suitcase the entire trip."

"The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. I wish there were an extra blanket. The room is very basic. The door locked but the extra latch was broken. There was a small refrigerator and microwave. The property was listed as including breakfast. There was sign in the window of the office that said it as well. There was no breakfast. No coffee. The Veniding machine was broken. There is no restaurant on the prperty. No other amenities but free parking. "

"We enjoyed our stay on Walnut Street. Steps from the ocean beach and the bay. The house is very beachy and tidy with lots of light. The location is great and we enjoyed biking to the light house and taking a (long) walk to Ocean Beach and eating at Rachel’s for breakfast. Fire island is a magical place and this was a great house to enjoy it!"

"Nice welcome to have a bottle of wine on arrival! Being end of November, the downstairs warmed up perfectly. The upstairs stayed chilly so probably nicer to stay in warmer months to also have full use of the outer sitting room and the outdoors. The kitchen/dining area is fine but could be equipped with a few more basic items like a small/medium cook pot and small/medium drinking glasses for water or juice. Other suggestions for convenience is a small toaster and basic hairdryer too. Still,...

"We had an amazing time on a great property!Traveled from California with my husband kids and their spouses. Met up with family on Long Island and the house was perfect for a family get together. Communication with the host was easy. Check in and check out were a breeze. Looking forward to coming back!"
