"Gave an extended weekend trip to my sister and brother in law for their 59th birthdays. They had an amazing relaxing time. They are repeat visitors at the Palms because it is second to none on Ocean Beach. Bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas provided making it stress free. Staff is always accommodating including assisting with luggage at the dock. They took their own boat and the staff still met them and assisted. They had one glitch, the AC in their room suddenly went out (which is unfortunate but it happens). With no stress, they were moved to a cottage which was a substantial upgrade. Management is all about customer service. Highly recommend a stay. "

"For several years our family-now numbering 13 people, from infants to 82, plus dogs-have taken long weekend vacations every October on Fire Island. We like the communities of Ocean Beach and Seaview because stores and restaurants are open, and there’s a terrific market in Seaview. Our search Focused on number of bedrooms and baths, with excellent reviews. Quite quickly we decided that Beach Bungalow in OB was perfect for us. We had some questions about bed setups and had easy and excellent communication with John, the owner. Arriving at the house was easy as it is fairly close to the ferry, something that was important for those of us who were older. The house did not disappoint. It is lovely and well maintained. The bedrooms are on the lower level, with the living room, kitchen and dining upstairs. However, the bedrooms have plenty of light because you actually have a flight of stairs (or a ramp for wheeled access) up from the ground. Everything worked well, and was very clean-spotless as a matter of fact! When you’re just coming for a long weekend, that’s very important that the house is well appointed and so clean that you can just come in with your bags and not worry about anything...we could just head for the beach. Thanks, John, for sharing your lovely home with us. We will definitely be back to enjoy Beach Bungalow in the future."

"This house was very nice, as pictured or better. Clean, no issues checking in or out. Wagon was there as promised, more bikes than promised, lots of beach towels and chairs provided. The house had two wonderful outdoor second story decks with great views of the water and the ferry dock. Location was perfect, so convenient to ferry and market. Two things not great. Although it had an AC unit in every bedroom that all worked fine which made ground floor cool and comfortable, the main living area on the second floor only had one small unit, not adequate at all. Kitchen is very poorly stocked with almost no glasses at all, several other key things you need for cooking most meals not there. Overall, this was a very nice rental, and I have rented many in Fire Island and I would definitely come back"

"Unlike many Fire Island rentals, this place lived up to its description! It was clean and beautifully stocked with beach chairs and towels and kitchen dishware/pots/cutlery and spices. Plenty of blankets and pillows and even a pack and play which we needed. I was always able to communicate with Len the owner and he was quick to respond. We are hoping to rent again next season!"

"Great house! Great location! About a block and a half – Fire Island short blocks – to the beach. Very close to town as well. Of course, all walkable easily. Nice size house with lots of space and a large deck with chairs to lounge. Thumbs up."

"This house lives up to our expectations. Perfect location, perfect set up, perfect amenities. We had a group of 12 rent this property for a long weekend. Through the entire process Steve and his family was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the large sectional, the outdoor pool and hot tub and the upstairs outdoor balcony. Oh, and if that wasn't good enough, you can just walk a couple steps to the beach. Would recommend this property to anyone and would consider renting again."
