The property manager Johnny went out of his way to help us in any need that we had. We only should have paid more attention to the fact that the garage is for small cars. Our rental (Dacia Duster) fit very tight. A great experience that included three hikes with incredible views. "

Arrived with food and wine on counter and also had gifts dropped off halfway through stay… house was beautiful and had all the amenities needed for the week, just bring food. "We were really looking forward to this place as it was our last accommodation on the island. Unfortunately we didn’t realize how high up in the mountains you are - it adds like 15 mins just trying to get up to the property from the towns near by You’re far away from everything! Parking in this place is also very annoying and hard if you’re not a good driver to maneuver around tight corners of the gate and stone walls. Additionally the photos made us think these individual places were spaced out - this is not the case and ours was a path width away from the other place with NO BLINDS on the two biggest windows that run along the path people can walk by - so privacy was minimal - especially when the bathroom on the main floor walks right out into the open area where you can see in with no blinds! The “ocean view” was minimal since you’re high up and far back in a cove in the valley so a lot of trees block the view. Couldn’t even see it from the actual accommodation. For the price and location I wouldn’t waste your time unless you place on staying there majority of your time. Additionally our last night when we had to be up at 3 am the property right next to ours (it’s multiple units on the same grounds) we’re partying all night and still going when we got up. "

"You often hear that the photos don't do the property justice, these really don't. Our initial conversations with Olga were assisted by Google translate as my German is as non existent as her English - and they had the support of a local, English speaking lady to show us around which was great. The property was spotlessly clean and really well equipped with coffee machines and a nice welcome pack of fruit and wine - and a nice touch of villa monogrammed dressing gowns. The view from the terrace over the valley below and the village and sea beyond was stunning - we never tired of it. The initial drive up to the house (you will need a car) was a little surprising and hilly but you get used to it after a while. All in all, a beautiful place to stay, we had a wonderfully relaxing and luxurious week, thankyou so much to Olga and Alexandra."

"This is a lovely property. It is very quiet, away from the bustle of Funchal. If you want to party, this is not the property for you! The house was very clean. Everything was provided including a Kettle, toaster and washing machine. The property has its own private parking space. Be aware that this property is at the top of a very steep hill and a small dirt track section beyond that but when you get there, the views are amazing from the outdoor seating area. Paulo, the owner, is very friendly. Communication with him was very quick and easy. He made us feel very welcome. All in, we had a very good stay here and would definitely recommend."
