"My room in Hotel Mayerling was very basic and in need of a coat of paint. That said it was clean, warm and reasonably comfortable, if not overly large. It was cold and wet in Madrid during my stay, so it was good that the room wasn’t cold or draughty. The reception staff are very pleasant and check in was straightforward.
