"Caren & Michaels place was fantastic, such a lovely house with everything you could possibly need. We stayed for a few days over Christmas and it was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet and calm area close to nature.The hosts were lovely, and were there to support if you needed anything. They even came by and with some Christmas snacks and Gluhwein on Christmas eve, which made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend!"

"This location is comfortable, spacious, and clean. The patio had a nice breeze. Great hot water. There were lots of dishes for a big group but we could have had pans of different sizes. If you are coming during the warmer months, there is no A/C or fans available. Two of the beds were sunken in the middle. We paid for the entire space, but the owner locked two of the rooms so we didn't have access to them. It's adjacent to a church, so you're going to hear the bells from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. It's in farming country, so you will get the aroma of animals when the breeze blows. If you are going to hike, there are many trails just outside the door. If you are electromagnetic sensitive (as I am), be aware that there are high tension wires very close to the house and LED lighting throughout the house. The internet is spotty. It's satellite, but I think that is probably the same throughout the area. Check in could have been improved with an email ahead of time giving instructions on how to find the place, where to park, and how to get inside. Once I turned on the street, I saw 2, 4, then 14. There is a sign for 8 on the wrong side of the street, but no house there, so I drove around a while trying to figure that out. I think the owner is enthusiastic about wanting guests to feel welcome. She got us the Konus card within 5 minutes of arriving. I'm grateful to have such a large and clean space for us to spread out."

"Staff is super nice. Hotel is a bit outdated, the rooms can use a decoration refresh but they are big and clean. About a 10 min walk to Gengenbach town centre. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but the vibe looked relaxing. "

"A lovely guest house, room was spacious and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. They spoke very good English. The breakfast was traditional german breakfast with the addition of muffins and croissants. A good selection with homemade jam as well! Unfortunately we stayed in 30 degree heat and so with no air conditioning, the room was very hot but nothing the hosts could do about this. It was a quiet guest house so we could leave our room door open and the window open to get a gentle breeze to cool the room before bed. There were window shutters which kept the midday sun out. There was an added bonus, with paying the tourist tax, free entry to the outdoor swimming pool which is open til 8pm so we were able to go there to cool down. It had a slide, diving boards, lane swimming, jacuzzi benches, and various other features, which the whole family loved."

"Lovely little boutique hotel. We had beautiful rooms with everything we needed. Parking was easy and right in front of the entrance. Staff was friendly and responsive and the breakfast food was delicious and thoughtfully made. At first, the breakfast buffet doesn’t look very plentiful, but everything is refilled quickly and eggs and smoothies offered after you sit down. Enjoyable stay!"
