"After climbing Kilimanjaro, we spent several nights on a round trip in Zanzibar in a group of five. On arrival, we were able to leave the rest of our luggage at the hotel so that we didn't have to lug it around all day. We spent the last two days at the Maru Maru Hotel, which was a very good decision. The hotel is located in the middle of the alleyways of Stonetown, is easily accessible and the perfect starting point for sightseeing tours. We were warmly welcomed and were able to use the rooftop bar and pool even on the day of our departure. Very good breakfast, lunch and dinner, we enjoyed it very much and would love to come back. "We had amazing 9 days staying in the Fruit & Spice Well nes Resort. Hotel is very nicely located and is neighbouring beautiful sandy beach. We had stayed in Superior Junior Suite for the first 5 days and each of them has adjacent small sandy area with sunbeds, umbrella and amazing ocean view (rocky shore so you cannot enter the sea). As there were only 4 sunbeds most of the time it was like a private area only for our couple. The food at restaurant was delicious and the choice would satify most people both for breakfast and dinner. There were bars at the lobby, at the pool and on the beach providing soft and alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. The staff was very kind, friendly (reception, restaurants, pool, all) very responsive and helpful (not offensive). I would like to especially mention Ramson our jungle villa buttler (second part of our stay was in jungle villa) who was absolutely exceptional, proactively helping us with anything we needed, but at the same time respecting our privacy. Thank you Ramson! Sumarizing we loved our stay. One thing we would recommend to the management is to ensure that access to the sea from jungle villas is reconstructed ASAP."
