"Nice hotel in a beautiful location service was spotty - at times great, others dismal. Facilities a bit odd. Overpriced buffet or 2 high end restaurants. No place for a single person to get a casual meal except the bar. Nice swimming pool but no outdoor lounge space with views of lake. Room near elevator was loud. "

The hotel itself is on is Ita Thao side of Sun Moon lake, which in my opinion is the better side. We didn't like the Main side as much. You step out the door pretty much onto the main road with all the street food vendors for snacks/breakfast/lunch/dinner. As they shut up by 7pm it doesn't disturb you in the evening.
