"This is our second time staying at The Outlook this year. As before we were greeted by deer on the property. They didn't seem bothered by us at all. The cabin was sparkling clean and linens and towels were made up and ready. The view across the valley was wonderful with the trees changing into their fall colors. "This was our 3rd or 4th stay at this lovely and comfortable farmhouse. Kathleen is an excellent host; kind, caring, responsive, and communicative. The property, both inside and out is beautiful, and we absolutely love the rescue steer residents. We enjoyed Happy Hour by the river and daily hikes in Shenandoah National Park and other local parks. We will happily return again. "

"River Perch was amazing! We had a wonderful family long weekend in November with our two labs. Even in November, the kids and dogs had a fantastic time in the water- tubing, fishing and wading. The river was relatively shallow- no deeper than thigh high on my 12 year old. My husband tried to fish, but after 3 days gave up. Super quiet, clean, remote and has everything you need. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable and the TV was fully equipped with all streaming apps. The fire pit was stocked...

"We stayed two nights and it was great! I don’t think we could’ve stayed much longer because we are tall folks so the shower and toilet area was tricky but all part of the adventure in my opinion! We loved star gazing and enjoyed the hot tub. We hiked, found some yummy restaurants and cute shops. The camper was fully stocked so I didn’t need to bring half of what I did but you never know with a lot of rentals. Overall, lovely getaway! "

"We spent three days at Valley View this past weekend for my 57th birthday (my husband, son, son and daughter-in-law, and two dogs and I ) Wednesday and I’m honestly kind of sad that we had to leave because it was one of the nicest getaway cabins that we’ve ever stayed at!
