"Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean. Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. "Not easy to find,since no street-number supplied until asked for. Expected en-suite - bathroom shared (between 2 rooms) and quite a distance from the bedroom. Access arrangements (and supervision) sketchy - via key-safe on telephoning (never-seen) owner. However, the bed was very comfortable and the location quiet."

The person did not want to know about the mould & wanted me to cancel staying on a bank holiday weekend. With health issues I would have preferred to not to stay at all. "At first entry the property absolutely reaked of stale spices, I assumed somebody had just cooked but the smell remained until I left. My room at the front of the house was fine. A little bit dirty in places. The real nightmare was the bathroom. After walking through the kitchen which was dirty, full of dirty dishes, unswept/mopped for weeks and lacking supplies, I found 2 full binbags inside by the back door and then went to the bathroom. "This is a lovely place to stay, and we would definitely return. However, I did find the bed in the room we were in to be a little firm for my liking, but that is personal taste The breakfast, from the fresh fruits to the fantastic poached eggs and bacon etc was amazing. The owner really works hard and deserves all the praise offered."
