"This was our second visit. This is a really well-designed and characterful small cottage with a large (and warm!) private pool a short distance across the garden. There are fabulous views of the lower part of the White Peak area from the cottage, and walks from the door or from Ilam - a couple of miles away. The hosts offer a warm welcome. Another great stay. "A lovely property, well appointed and plenty of space for 4 adults.Stunning views and a very pleasant outside seating area.We have been very lucky with an incredibly warm Spring stay, however even in the coldest weather you wont be chilly inside.The bed is the most comfortable ive ever slept in in a holiday rental, petfect for a wonderful nights sleep after hiking through the peaks.Great hosts, unobtrusive but nearby should you need them.WIFI and 4G is patchy, what a wonderful week to not be...

"We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned. "Really lovely property, nice and cosy. Only small bugbear is that some kitchen items were grimy/icky to the point that we bought cutlery from Boyes to use. Regarding parking, we have a long car (wide estate) but it has good manoeuvrability. Having said that, it was a parking space that we had to reverse out of and then down the entry lane. So we were fine with one person guiding (to avoid the stone walls) but it might not be good for some cars"

"Ranmoor is a beautiful cottage, with a large sunny garden which was very secure for our little dog to happily potter around! The beds were super comfortable as was the rest of the cottage. Great hosts too!"
