" We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Reading rooms. Very comfortable with a great sized lounge and kitchen. A good central location and perfect for village ‘walkies’ for our dog. We would suggest that a chair in each bedroom would be a thoughtful touch. Thank you"

"Arriving at 3.30 we had to fight our way to the bar of this Irish club to check in (it happened to be St. Patrick's Day !) The barmaid did come and show us our room however, a triple with 3 single beds. It was very cold and the radiator stayed stone cold until at least 7 p.m. and was cold in the morning when we were getting up. The room was very basic and there was no waste paper bin. The TV didn't work - the aerial wire was just hanging loose - and there were 2 wide steps down from the door to enter the room with no rail to hold. The 2 beds we used were fairly comfortable. The third sagged. The bathroom nearest our room had no extractor fan so was smelly at times. Good points:The kitchen was well equipped and everything was very clean. Managed to park outside and it was convenient for Papworth Hospital where I was headed in the morning but the worst room I have stayed in for many years and would not recommend."

"Fantastic welcome and comfortable room. An ideal stopover for enjoying a gig at Cambridge junction (2 minute walk away). The food in the restaurant downstairs was delicious and service great too. Tip - swipe the room keycards really fast or they don’t work. Lovely wooden staircases (lots of them). "

"Even though my room was on the ground floor and by the main road, it was quiet and peaceful. Onsite restaurant was really good value and the food was of good quality. Very good location and access to the local area."

"The bar is very small and closes early - we were exhausted so certainly wasn’t an issue for us and the restaurant was a decent size. Meal was good, great selection of drinks, room (spitfire) was clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The young lady (owners daughter?) served us in the evening and the following morning very efficiently and competently so thankyou! Breakfast was included , very tasty and perfect size. First time staying here and I will stay again "
