A nice quiet stay needed for staying over after working in central Cambridge. Great price for a single room and just what was needed. Also obsessed with the decor!
Always a pleasant stay. Misunderstanding about whether I had purchased breakfast package. Staff handled it well. Communication with the hotel during reservations was non-existent and thus problematic. Needs immediate improvement
Always a pleasant stay. Some misunderstanding about whether breakfast was included. Staff accommodated me which was the proper thing to do. Correspondence withe the hotel by phone and email was unresponsive
Good location. Everything downhill from there. Short staffed. Rundown etc etc

Great location for walking into City centre. The room was on the ground floor front so couldn’t leave windows open and at night it was very hot. Room not serviced every day due to shortages but didn’t really cause us any issues.
All staff were very helpful.
The hotel is responsible clean in main area's restaurant and reception. This hotel is in need of a redecorating in all other area's. It just looks shabby and unloved
I wanted a good quality quiet hotel for a weekend break alone. I had a small single room which was very clean and well furnished. Bathroom was nice, powerful shower. I would of given 5 stars for cleanliness but on arrival and first use of ensuite toilet it had not been flushed! The staff where pleasant. The food was excellent. Disappointed that the restaurant was closed on Sunday evening. It would have been helpful if there has been a sign up in the reception to say restaurant was not open that night as I had planned to eat there and then had to walk out into town alone at night to find a restaurant. I always felt safe but wouldn't advise walking by canal or over Jesus Green alone late at night. Bed was made up daily and new towels, plenty of milk and biscuits etc with tea facilities, more available from reception if needed. I believe description mentions sound proof rooms however I was woken up after midnight 1 night by couple in next room arguing loudly and slamming doors! My room was on top floor, there are no lifts but I was fine with this as I always walk. The hotel was classic old style decor. Breakfast buffet impressive. I would definitely go back again.
