"The reception area of the hotel is light and airy and very welcoming. We found our room quite easily and it was both comfortable and quiet. The leisure pool was a bonus although it isn’t very big so swimming lengths wasn’t particularly easy. Dinner was nice but it is quite difficult to get 3 courses for the £32 allowance. We just chose two. Breakfast was no more than ok. The coffee was terrible and hot food was lukewarm at best. However, there was a good choice of cereal and fruit and the freshly made porridge was very nice. "

"Very pleasantly surprised. I thought low price meant fairly average but the Ibis Southampton exceeded my expectations in every way. Friendly, efficient check in, bright, clean, comfortable, quiet room. Had a drink from the bar when we got back after a show at the Mayflower theatre too. Couldn’t fault the whole stay, brilliant. "

"Bathroom was dusty on arrival, but aside from that can’t fault it. Don’t think I saw a member of staff between Check in and check out so can’t comment on service "

"Everything first class. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Appreciated our luggage being taken to and from our room. Standard room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed using the coffee machine and appreciated the excellent breakfast tea and china teapot. Lovely biscuits and complimentary gin too. Also liked the chocolates and handwritten postcard for my husband's birthday, a nice gesture. Made full use of the spa facilities the following morning namely the pool, jacuzzi and relaxation room. Would highly recommend a stay here."
