" The George Hotel & Granary 5 Market Pl, Frome BA11 1AF Pub Clare 281 points 6 hours agoSpent a night at this lovely hotel with my two daughters in a family room. Hotel is in a great location, right in the town centre. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful cobbled streets with many lovely little eclectic, independent shops in which you could spend many happy hours pottering! When we arrived we were greeted by Wayne who instantly made us feel very welcome. He couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and during dinner, which we had in the hotel restaurant, he couldn't do enough for us. Lots of great banter too! The food was delicious and incredibly good value. Our room, no 28, was very spacious, loads of room for bags etc, overlooking the road to the front, but there was absolutely no noise from outside. The bar and restaurant area are really nice with a lovely, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is only a ten minute drive to Longleat and the Aqua Sana Spa. There is secure parking behind the hotel. Really can't fault anything about our stay. Can't recommend highly enough. "

"For the price of the property, it was excellent including the use of facilities such as pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The staff made extra mile to give children activities for easter, , treats and tokens too. We also liked that it is a dog friendly, walking distance to Somerset Buffet if you fancy eating out."

"We stayed at the Old Vicarage for one night on our way down from Cheshire to visit family in Cornwall. We had a double room for my husband and I and our daughters shared a twin room with our dog. The service was impeccable throughout and our dog, Harvey, was treated like a VIP! Our wonderful breakfast was served by Daniel, who was friendly and professional. We chatted with the owners while checking out and it was clear that they pride themselves on the great team they have assembled to run this lovely, unique hotel. Would absolutely recommend and we'll stay again next time we are travelling south."
