"we had a very nice large twin room for our 1 night stay and it was really comfy. the only negative was there was only a net curtain up at the bathroom window and as it was at the front of the hotel there was something of a privacy issue.but that aside we would stay there again."

"The property is undergoing an upgrade but still very nice and the restaurant was lovely staff very friendly and helpful. Although I did pay for an upgrade room so my elderly mother could be on the ground floor as the lift is out of order and although the room was nice there was scaffolding in front of the window and they where dirty so achieved the ground floor bit bit the view was spoilt. "

"Magnificent old building with large rooms. Always good to have a swimming pool at a hotel. Slightly disappointed by having to pay £15 for parking as a hotel guest overnight "

"We had a spa day which was fabulous and then stayed over. We chose to eat in Charcoa restaurant on the evening. I ordered mince and dumplings and my friend Salmon. The food had obviously been there for sometime. Both meals were cold as were the vegetables. We sent them back and ordered a pizza which was cooked fresh. Everything else about the stay including breakfast was very good."

"Great hotel in Harrogate. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. The only downside is parking, but it’s not the end of the world there are other places to park."

"Very good hotel, centrally situated close to all shops and amenities. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious a modern bathroom with powerful shower. The Fat Badger restaurant was superb very well mannered staff, the food was excellent and very busy would advise to book. The bar area was also very busy with a good selection of wines, beers and spirits. My only gripe was the cost of the car park, it seemed quite steep for people residing and spending money within the hotel and not receiving a...
