We particularly loved the novelty of living on the water. Despite being located near a major street, it was remarkably quiet and peaceful, which was a pleasant surprise. "Ein Stern ist selbst zu viel!!! Achtung - Betrug!!! Das Boot was angeboten wird gibt es zwar aber wird ausschließlich bei booking angeboten. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. Wir hatten einen Tag vorher gelesen das es an dem Standort nicht existiert und am Anreisetag sofort Expedia kontaktiert. Die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt, nur...

"The boat was well maintained and very clean. Casey is a wonderful host. We shared some wine and Dutch cheese and watched the sunset from the boat platform. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!"

"This is not your run of the mill accommodation. If you’re looking for something different from hotels in a great location, this is it. I think of all the places I’ve rented over the years all over the world, this is in my top 3. The owner Margriet is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again if I return to Amsterdam. "

"We stayed three nights (family of four) in Casper’s boat. The location is perfect, short walk to/from Centraal Station and easy to get to everything within the city. Casper’s communication was top-notch and the accommodations on the boat were exactly as advertised. Highly recommended. "

"This was definitely out of our comfort zone at first…then we loved it. You are quite close to a bustling area, but it feels incredibly private as well. You can walk straight out into the Jordaan district, but it’s quiet at night like you are in the county. We say in the wheelhouse drinking wine and watching the world go by. There’s loads of room and everything you need. A great and pretty unique experience. "

"What a treat to stay on this houseboat on the canal. The early mornings and evenings were especially calm and peaceful. It was definitely a great way to experience Amsterdam. In addition, the host was wonderful, it’s a short walk to public transit, plenty of places to eat nearby, or you may just decide to sit on the deck and watch the world go by. "

"We were very impressed with the host’s communication! The boat has a prime location with the feel of full immersion into daily Dutch life, super quiet nights with close proximity to all of the activity in the city center. The most unique experience either of us have ever had in the Netherlands and most certainly both of our favorite trips! Thank you so much!"

"Casper is a helpful host/owner. He had a great list of recommendations and showed us around the property when we arrived. The studio was nice and a great location to the train station. With a Vrbo, I expect to rent the whole place, just be aware that you’ll have a neighbor that you share a front door with and that the owner has an adjoining door they stays locked. I never felt unsafe but didn’t feel like this was spelled out on the description. The original listing mentioned a hot tub twice,...

"Great stay! Unique place! Seemed out of way but ten minute bus ride from end of street to downtown Amsterdam was easy. Marieke and Sander great hosts! Restaurants, grocery and bakery nearby. Definitely recommend staying here!"

"Die Aqua Cabin ist für fünf Personen ein wenig klein, aber sehr sinnvoll und durchdacht eingerichtet. Die Lage am Hafen ist schön, leider war dort wenig los. Die Rezeption ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert, das Restaurant auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Auch in der näheren Umgebung gibt es ein paar nette Restaurants, Tankstelle und Supermarkt, so dass man sich gut versorgen kann. Das beste an der Aqua Cabin ist aber die Lage. Quasi alle Top Spots in Zentral-Niederlande sind in 30 Minuten...
