"We highly recommend this hotel to whoever visit Phnom Penh Cambodia. Here's why: we checked in on Nov 7th 2024 & immediately were politely greeted by all the staff at the front desk. Linda, the front desk manager were wonderful. She explained about our rooms, which were connected with our elder parent on the first floor (which is 2nd floor in the US), the cost breakdown she received via Expedia, the cost of breakfast, which one room was not included when I booked. "Splurged on this luxury hotel for our last 2 nights in Cambodia and made full use of the first rate amenities. After a minor miscommunication at check in, a staff member delivered a plate of cold fresh fruit slices to our room—unnecessary but very much appreciated. Came into our room one afternoon to find a cloth lying next to my reading glasses. Small gestures like that are examples of next level hospitality."

"Great hotel! Service was excellent and staff were very friendly. Our room was very spacious, clean comfortable and well stocked with amenities. We had a large suite with kitchenette, bath and rainfall showerhead. The breakfast has local and Western options as well as Japanese cuisine. The rooftop pool is very nice and the location is great. Also complimentary tea and coffee are available in the lobby. We will be back!"

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Palace Gate Hotel! Our suite was huge and comfortable, with great views. The common areas are lovely. The staff were all super nice and helpful in the hotel (less so in the restaurant for breakfast). Communication was excellent starting even before our arrival. We would skip the breakfast buffet next time though, since the staff couldn’t care enough to keep hot coffee available, and the supposedly warm food was usually cold. The food selection wasn’t great...

"It's is a nice new hotel a bit of a trek from the city center. I love the modern look and feel. The large open spaces are wonderful. The hotel is at the top of an office building. The main downside is that there is almost nowhere to do any work at a laptop in comfort. The room does not have a desk, just a small table next to a couch along the wall. The staff were lovely. "This is an amazing hotel really looks beautiful. But there is a problem that I had you will see cockroaches. And also mosquitoes and also you have spider web all the way in the corner. I love the hotel it's really beautiful it's really custom to the average traveler. But the only thing that it really bother me from being a beautiful hotel is that bugs are in the building and bugs shouldn't be allowed especially when you're coming from a different country and having high expectations. Also the gym looks like the equipment has been burned out with the radiate of the Sun. When I wanted to go to the sky bar there was nobody there it says from 8:00 in the morning until 10:00 p.m. and I actually went there at 10:00 a.m. and there was nobody in the building. And at the same time it's very frustrating with the elevator so many people are using one elevator to go up and down. Sometimes when you press the button for your turn it skips you. "

"It's a nice and simple place to stay for couple of nights. The mattresses were perfect, not too firm not too soft. It was clean. Internet wifi signal was good, speed was fine for Cambodia ( around 40 Mbps). We slept very well, the staff was professional and friendly. There are some markets around, also Olympic mall is near, they have a good grocery shop on the first floor with some cheap soju alcohol and ice cream. There is also cinema on the last floor. "
