"The property is quite lovely, surrounded by the rolling hills of western Virginia. The house was perfect, a lot of space to spread out if needed. We spent our evenings on the screened in back porch. The pool and gardens were an added bonus. Every evening the neighbor cows would graze along the fence line- just a lovely get away from the City! "

"We loved our stay at this historic farmhouse in Culpeper. The location was perfect, halfway between Leesburg and Charlottesville and near central Virginia destinations. The listing and photos are accurate. Beds are very comfortable. First floor bedroom worked well for our family. Kitchen very well stocked, we even did some Christmas baking. Convenient to grocery stores and restaurants and parks. Yard was great for our dog. Recommended for family and friend groups who appreciate historic homes....

"We stayed with our adult son and 2 dogs over Thanksgiving week. The house was very cool, had a great layout, comfortable furniture and well-equipped kitchen. On the down side, there was no heat in the bathrooms, the rain shower heads sprayed all over the place, the towels were more like blankets than towels (we went and purchased regular terry towels). The driveway is steep and would require 4-wheel drive in winter. We wanted to do some star gazing but there were so many outside lights...

"We were in Culpepper for a family wedding. The reception was at the nearby country club, so the location was great. The kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub & grill worked great, loved ping pong table & fun things to do in the house. Enough room for everyone to space out & relax together. No ice maker so had to buy a bag of ice, but that was an easy solution!!!"
