"We absolutely loved our stay at the Ponderosa. The Hosts are absolutely wonderful very attentive. They are super friendly and love to just chat with their guests as well as go above and beyond to help them. The property is absolutely beautiful with a lovely little stream that passes right by it. Our favorite part of our stay was being able to open our porch door and just listen to the stream while enjoying a fire in the fireplace. Not enough good things to say about how much we enjoyed our stay. When we had to cut our stay a day short due to things back home they were more than willing to accommodate a refund for the night that we were missing even when we told them we weren't expecting it. We thought that we would just have to eat the cost but no the GM was able to assist us with getting that last night refunded. We will definitely be staying with the Ponderosa Lodge again in the future."

"No frills motel, but comfy and clean. The staff is kind and helpful . The beds are comfortable and the room is clean, modern shower. Very nice to be able to walk into town or visit the hot springs . And easy drive uo to steamboat ski resort. "

"Very beautiful place, it was nice and quiet here during our stay. The cabin was awesome, loved the indoor hot tub. The wild turkeys onsite were very cool to watch. Overall excellent stay and would recommend this place."

"We booked a slope-side room but the view was to the Steamboat square, not really to the slope. The staff understood the frustration and moved us to another room that was truly slope-side. Other than that, everything else was very good. Staff granted us a late checkout by 12:30pm and parking until 2pm which worked really well with our plans. Only thing that caught our attention as opportunity was how small the bathroom was."

"Seriously we found a gem! We were in Steamboat to go to the Strawberry Hot Springs. It turned out this hotel partnered with the springs and the springs picked us up straight from the hotel and took us to the springs and then dropped us back off at the hotel. The staff was SO friendly and they even had a dog that was working up front at the check in desk that would greet everyone as they came and went. The nicest dog and so cute! The hotel restaurant food was delicious which isn't always the case. The spinach artichoke dip was the best I've ever had. And the service in the restaurant was top notch. Everything about this hotel experience was a 10. "
