The hotel is set in a beautifully quiet and remote area, which makes it a perfect base for exploring the Golden Circle without the crowds. The peaceful surroundings and wide-open skies give it a unique charm, especially at night. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The private hot tub outside was the highlight — soaking in the warmth under the stars was an unforgettable experience, especially when the Northern Lights made an appearance. The design of the rooms combines modern comfort with Icelandic charm, and everything was spotless and well-maintained. Breakfast was exceptional — a generous spread of fresh pastries, local cheeses, fruits, and hot items that changed daily. The on-site restaurant also served one of the best dinners I had in Iceland, with local specialties like Arctic char and lamb, all beautifully presented. Service was courteous and warm, and the staff made every effort to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. It felt both luxurious and personal, which is a rare combination. "A fantastic place to stay, and a brilliant base for the sights of south Iceland. Friendly staff and the room itself had everything you could need for the price, plus a little bit more. Had to use the spare duvet as a pillow, as I like a firm pillow, but that's more personal preference."

"Very first time in a hostel type hotel. I booked a room with a 'small bathroom' heads up - that means there's a tiny sink in the room, you still share a shower/bathroom down the hall. Small kitchen to use and 2 bathrooms on the main floor. We got there and used the hot tubs had wine right away after a long day. Bring your own food so we snacked, showered before other guests arrived and made it an early night. It can get a bit noisy with other guests arriving, some making dinner etc. over all we planned it well. Breakfast option to purchase - there is common room to eat in and it was very comfortable, we had brought food a toaster was provided, games and TV in the common room. "
