"We stayed 8 days at Isabelle's house and everything was perfect. The rooms are big enough and we slept very well in the cosy beds. Communication with Isabelle was also perfect and the check in was easy, as Isabelle's parents in law are living right next to the property. Thank you for everything "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home of Jos! The house was located close to cafe's and attractions in Penela. The house is very well stocked with utensils, small appliances and anything you could need to feel at home. The house was clean and the back yard area was pleasant to sit out and view the mountain. The house was more than affordable! Jos even checked on us twice to make sure everything was ok. Thank you for letting us stay."

"This was the most relaxing stay! We were deep in the countryside in our own stone village with great amenities and fresh bread, fruit, cheese, jam and honey for our kitchen every day. No restaurant on site or in walking distance but it was fun and challenging diving around exploring the region on back roads to get to the each town with its castle and church. "

"Propriété indépendante, les enfants ont pu pleinement profiter du très vaste terrain. Très grande surface habitable de la maison, nous étions 10 et chaque famille pouvait avoir son intimité. Gentillesse des propriétaires, merci à Fatima et Tony. Disponibilité et accueil chaleureux de Maria et son mari, merci. Notre séjour s'est super bien passé. "The house was great with plenty of space. The area was stunning and very peaceful with good walks nearby. Coimbra was easy to get to. Martine and Dirk (and their dogs) were great hosts and very helpful. They provided comprehensive information on places to visit, walks, restaurants etc. which made it very easy to plan our stay."

"We really loved this out of the way find which proved a good base for discovering the delights of central Portugal: Gois with river beach, Figueira da Foz, Coimbra, all in good striking distance (with car) and Denise has plenty of further suggestions. Handy supermarket, nice garden and relaxing place to chill (as my daughter says)."

"This house is charming and has lots to offer in warmer weather than March. Luckily the fireplace in the main living area had a blower and there were two heaters because there is no central heat. We blew the fuses several times using the heaters and hot water or cooking. Electricity is lacking and the listing says there is an oven, washing machine and two showers, this is not so. Also the stove is a two burner cooktop . BUT...besides the inaccurate amenities we enjoyed the ambiance of the house...
