"The pictures on Expedia don’t do this hotel justice; this was the most beautiful hotel I’ve stayed at so far in Europe. The walls are decorate with actual marble/stone engraved book covers. This place is designed to pay homage to the Joanina library in Coimbra and they did an amazing job. Everything was also very clean and the service was great, breakfast was also excellent and the view from the rooftop was incredible. Even though the hotel is centrally located it’s was very quiet in the room, we couldn’t hear anything in the room. If you are looking for unique and interesting stay in Coimbra I definitely recommend this hotel."

"This is a marvellous beautiful two level room equipped with all amenities including a jacuzzi.The view is absolutely stunning. The service is excellent. The lady ( sorry I forgot the name) was very helpful and pleasant. She helped with our luggage and parking site. On check in we were served with wine and cakes. Breakfast was served in the room with plenty of foods. We were given some cookies as a goodbye gift. Well done. Other hotels should take note of this gesture and follow suit. "
