We were able to enjoy being in the country while also being very proximate to cities, towns, wine tasting and other activities, like hilltop hiking. The kitchen was not the most convenient for home cooking for Americans used to a more modern kitchen, but we managed. Our hostess made our first dinner, which was so nice and so delicious. "If you are looking for the experience of an American hotel in Italy, this is for you! It was our last stay after traveling and staying at several Airbnbs and hotels in northern Italy. Rooms and common were beautiful and very nicely decorated. A/C was excellent (not always the case in other places we stayed). The hotel is located in an industrial-ish area.
