"The hotel is inside the walled city, right next to the basilica. As no car is allowed to drive to the castle, the hotel offers a free shuttle to pick/drop you to the parking lot where you get in/off the taxi. The hotel has a lot of history but the condition itself needs some maintenance. The view from the hotel is unbeatable and the staff are super friendly. Overall is a very nice stay. Remember to book a taxi before arrival "

"Only one night in Carcassonne and the old city was a bit of a disappointment, thankfully the hotel was lovely - small, family run, and parking was a bit of a faff - but enchanting. Apart from yet another sliding glass door 'covering' the loo, and annoyingly loud music all evening in the bar/restaurant/garden, it was a nice space to spend time. Food options were limited but nice, staff deserve special mention - top notch! Spaniel is your best friend if you have food, cat takes further convincing- would be amazing in summer I think."

"We love how close it was to the fortified city. It was so easy just to walk across the street to the gate. Rooms were clean (wallpaper a little outdated but no biggie). We tried the spa as well and enjoyed it. Front desk very helpful"

I had no trouble finding a spot close to the entrance, and the parking lot was well-lit and felt safe. This made coming and going from the hotel a breeze, and I appreciated not having to worry about finding a parking spot. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and convenient place to stay. The cleanliness and parking situation really set this hotel apart from others in the area."
