"It's a unique place. You've got to be the type of person that doesn't judge on face value to enjoy it. I really liked it. There's definitely some characters there. Badly needs a refurb but if it had one it would be busier and less enjoyable in other ways. Take it as you find it and don't judge too quickly"

"When we checked in we were graciously upgraded to a suite in another building with access to another resort and pool. All the staff were very friendly in all areas which made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast was included which was great. Close to the beach, handy supermarket and bus stop to Heraklion centre and airport. "

"This hotel has a really relaxed vibe and is great for couples. The food was fantastic with a real range. It was great to have the optional al la carte restaurant included once in our stay. There are a real range of rooms including rooms with swim up suites and private pools. A few tips, let the hotel know if you prefer shade or full sun all day. Some of the suites were in full sun all day and may have been uncomfortable. Also, some suites are near the bar- the bar is quite quiet but if you want to have a really quiet stay (like us) I would let the hotel know. There is an outdoor venue next to the hotel. It can be loud a few times per week but the two evening when there was a gig, the noise was finished by 10:30pm or 11:30pm. We would absolutely return to this hotel. It has a really luxurious feel and the staff were all amazing!"

"The property is very well maintained and the staff are excellent. The food and beverage manager in particular is one of the hardest working hotel staff members we have ever seen! There is a great variety of food at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with items labeled for allergens, which is very much appreciated for guests with food allergies. The Taverna by the beach is a casual, relaxing place to have lunch. The beach is large and there are enough loungers to accommodate guests. Overall, we would highly recommend this resort, especially for families with younger or older children."

"Really great hotel in the heart of Heraklion. Very convenient to the port and the airport. Staff was very nice and went over and above; we were leaving before breakfast so they made breakfast bags for us and sent us on our way. Highly recommend. "

"We really enjoyed out stay in this hotel! The bets thing about it is the people - we were made to feel welcome and everyone working here was atentive and warm and made us feel super welcome! (Thanks for all those extra treats - fruit, coffee, ouzo!). The food is lovely and fresh, the pool was incredible and the beach and sea beautiful. We were walking distance to different restaurants and shops, and it was easy to go to Knossos too. A fantastic stay! Thank you! "

"Don’t let initial lack of kerb appeal when arriving put you off. This is a fantastic place to stay. Staff who love their jobs, a chef whose menu draws locals to eat in the evenings, super comfy beds in rooms and on the beach which is also on your doorstep. Highly recommend!"
