"The hosts were fabulous and blew is away with their welcome pack but is not suitable to sleep 4. Everything is just in one room and there's only seating for 2 unless you want to sit on a bar stool. The layout also needs rethinking because at one point my wife was in bed having a cup of tea and waved to the hosts as they pulled up in their car. If they switched the sofa and bed you'd get more privacy and be able to watch the tv from the sofa. Otherwise, it was great. Would recommend for a couple."

"Only 20 mins drive from Cardiff city centre - the accommodation was clean, comfortable and well presented"

"We spent 4 nights at this lodge between 28Dec-1Jan and it was excellent. From check in to check out the process was seamless and we had everything we needed. Lodge was cozy, clean and warm and the bathrooms had actually been updated so were newer and nicer than the pics. Area was lovely and quiet. Had a carvery at the Cider barn restaurant about 5 min drive away and we drove into Weston Super Mare (20 mins) and got wristbands for the pier and did ice skating. "The Shepherds Nest is the best Shepherds Hut we’ve stayed in, for space, amenities and for hospitality. It’s well built, furnished to a high standard and there’s a lot of thought gone into everything. Charlie and Carol were really welcoming and there were lots of little touches, and nice surprises on our arrival. The outside bath is great, in all weathers! We’d highly recommend."

"Very disappointed as not as expected. Expensive for just a box. Log burner tiny and not on just a small oil radiator. Did not stay at this hut, left and booked somewhere else to stay the night. "

"Check in was very easy . Lodge was superbly clean and very pleasently laid out and prepared hats off to the host .Only thing id mention as going by the pictures i assumed it was the whole lodge pictured wene was only half but was plentyful for me and my wife .Already planning a 2nd trip with the bigger lodge If your looking definatly book "

"The lodge was lovely with views of the shoulders of Exmore. It was well fitted with good working facilities and the site was very nicely kept and only has around eight lodges was quiet. The hosts were very supportive when we asked for help. The site is about 30 minutes walk or five minutes drive from the seafront at Minehead."
