"I can thoroughly recommend this beautiful historic hotel! It has been refurbished whilst keeping all these amazing features! The service is superb. The bedrooms are well equipped - little things like fresh milk in the mini fridge rather than capsules! It has a good sized car park. The breakfast Is delicious. Can’t praise it enough!"

"The swimming area was very good, clean and staff approachable. The evening meal was another matter. I am diagnosed coeliac and when l told them one waitress thought gluten free and coeliac were two different intolerances. When the manager was told , he bought me pages and pages of listings for me to check whether what l was ordering was g/f. Not very helpful! However breakfast was more understanding, knowledgeable and helpful. One person in every 100 according to the BBC this very morning are coeliac and small cafes and larger chains are now all geared up with g/f listed on menus, it’s about time Best Western got up to date with gluten free as well or someone could be very ill with the restaurant staff lack of knowledge about intolerances. "

"The staff are incredibly helpful, always on hand to answer any questions or offer any help. The hotel is just simply stunning inside and out. The location is absolutely perfect if you want to take a walk around town and there’s also the convenience of the restaurant and bars within the hotel too. Our stay was just perfect. We’ll definitely be back for longer this time. We would highly recommend to anyone thinking about booking! "
