"We absolutely loved staying at Roger’s home in Keswick! The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. We hope to get back there again!"

"Really nice accommodation in a very nice location. Well presented and clean lodge with great view of the Lake. Brilliant welcome pack very informative and welcome advice on walks and where to go. Enjoyed the area 15 min drive to Keswick, I found that the turn off from the road to the site is a short distance from the signage and recommend hiiting your indicator as soon as you have passed the sign and start slowing as you often have cars travelling at speed behind you. "Group of 5 family and friends stayed at this lovely home, situated perfectly close to town. The property is perfect for groups and a lovely large kitchen and gathering area. Communication with our host was seamless. We loved that within a matter of steps, we were in the center of town and had such easy access to a wide variety of beautiful hiking trails. First visit to Keswick exceeded expectations."

"An ideal quiet location with access to Penrith and the Lakes. Well appointed modern property, private parking. Host could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We did have a couple of issues with the Verbo discription verse actual facilities- however host was quick to sort out and offered us alternative very close by. Thanks for that. All in all we had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we visit the lakes."

"A very nicely refurbished cottage with all necessary equipment and appliances. 50 metres walk to the mostly deserted beach. Not much to do in Powfoot itself, so driving is essential. Caravan park cafe very good and Powfoot hotel good if you don't have a dog."

"The cottage is so homely and had everything you needed! Definitely a home from home. Hot tub was a fantastic edition. We also used the pizza oven one evening. Both bathrooms had powerful and hot showers. The host was very attentive and responded within hours of sending a message. Location is just picture perfect, with Ennerdale Water a 2 min drive away with plenty parking. There isn’t much else to do, other than walk at the lake, it was very quiet and peaceful. There are 2 pubs within walking...

"We loved spending our Christmas there. Each morning we were greeted by a wonderful view of fells from the living room and bedroom. The property was lovely, clean, spacious, comfortable, had mod cons, very well stocked, and best of all a fire you could snuggle up to. Our host kept good communication, and kindly decorated a Christmas tree for us. Would love to return"

"My friend and I stayed here for a few days and we had a great time. The apartment was super clean, really modern, spacious and comfortable and just the perfect place to go back to after a long walk. It’s near loads of nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops in a great location with nearby parking provided by the host. Steve was quick to respond to any messages and queries we had. Will definitely be going back!"

Lovely little hotel
"The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and has a beautiful, warm interior. We received a lovely warm welcome from reception. Our room was immaculate and has everything we needed, including a lovely balcony looking out into the well maintained gardens. The spa is small but very nice and has stunning views from the hydro pool. The spa does need a little TLC in terms of the rusty vents above the pool, and the steam room wasn't working. Overall a really nice spa, and free for guests to use, which isn't always the case at some hotels. Our only gripe was the quality of some of the food we were served for our evening meal, and the time it took. We were also charged £10 to park our car in the hotel grounds."
