"I highly recommend this property! It is tucked away up in the mountains and the views are amazing! The cabin has all the dishes and utensils you need as well as many spices and kitchen items that make the stay very enjoyable. We used the charcoal grill and the fire pit and both were great. There is plenty of dead fall around to throw in the fire pit. The cabin was super clean and organized. We had plenty of hot water and a strong cell signal. There are a couple stores within 15 minutes to get groceries and other necessities. It's also only a shirt drive to the scenic Talimena Drive. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels on site. There is a washing machine and dryer if needed. The driveway is rough but we didn't mind as we were in a FWD SUV. One thing to be aware of, the bedroom is downstairs and the kitchen/living area is upstairs. The stairs are on the outside of the cabin. So there is quite a bit of going up and down the stairs and depending on the weather, you have to be dressed appropriately. The only television is in the bedroom. The cabin would be perfect if there was a tv in the kitchen/living area also. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to really get away and be secluded. We love that aspect. We will be going again. "

"We enjoyed this stop on our way back to Texas. Comfortable and clean. We watched the sun go down from the porch swing. Then found the dominos to keep us entertained until time for bed. Bed was comfortable, shower had lots of water pressure. This is a private option for people who aren’t in the mood for a hotel. "

"We had such an amazing time at Hillbilly Hideout, we came for our honeymoon and it was so peaceful and the view was incredible! Everything was super clean and Billy was such a great host! We will definitely be back! "

"Surprised my husband for our anniversary. This was my first time staying in Oklahoma, and we both couldn't be happier with the cabin. It was very clean, private, and cozy. We only left once to go hiking. The cabin had everything we needed, and the owner was excellent with communication. Can't wait to return!"

"The cottage at River Bird Lodge was excellent. It's very nice, clean, well appointed. It's great for a couple or a small family. The cottage layout has a bedroom and common living area with a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable, which is not always the case. It sits on a large property with a lot of woods to explore, as well as the river. This time of year the river is pretty low, so you can easily access the riverbed.. Niki was very responsive and easy to work with. I gave only 4 stars on the listing accuracy question only because there was mention of chickens and goats and my wife was excited for that, but they aren't there now....LOL. Otherwise the property is as advertised and then some. The only other item that I would call attention to is the fact that there are a 2 or 3 units together on the property so some elements like the fire pit may be shared. It wasn't a problem for us, we met some very nice folks around the fire....and Coach, who helps oversee the place was an absolute gem!"
