"We stayed in many hotels this last month in Japan, and the Metropolitan ranked in our top 4. Its location is ideal, being 5 minutes from the station and shopping street, and within 10 minutes walk of 2 temples. The design of the hotel is very soothing—an inner atrium, a comfortable lobby, floral and glass art designs on each floor, and all in warm tints of light browns and creams. We had a basic room and it was well laid out, with very good attention to the details that make for a pleasant stay. We would definitely stay again. "

"Very clean, very nice service. The only issue I have is the laundry room. There is only one very small washer and dryer, and the dryer is not very good. I had to run the dryer 3-4 times for my one load and the last load I took out most of the clothes to hang dry in the room. But everything else was great."

"A nice place to lay your head once you get over the fact that one side is the red light district the other side of the shops and stores it was pretty clean. The staff were pretty friendly. They kind of recognize me by face at that point cause I was there for a month I would stay here again"
