"We checked in the night before our so. Graduated from Purdue. We chose Monticello because it was about 1/2 the price as the Lafayette hotels for graduation. It was a 35 minute drive to the school through rural country roads. A peaceful commute. Upon checking in Gina who was working the front desk realized I had booked the wrong room for our family and she worked her magic and got us into a more appropriate room. The gym was open which my kids said was more than adequate for a hotel, The basketball and volleyball courts were under construction as was the swimming pool so that was a little disappointing, but I don't think we would've had time for them anyways. Gina recommended Sportman's Inn to have a nice waterfront dinner and although the food and service was okay the setting and atmosphere on the patio overlooking the lake made up for it. The staff we met were friendly and helpful! We don't usually stay at Best Westerns as we are a pretty bougie family but I'd definitely stay here again. The hotel smelled fresh and clean and the room reflected that. Beds were better than so many we've stayed in. Towels probably need replacing but they were clean and smelled fresh not stale which is the case in so many rural hotels. Overall we were more than pleased and surprised! We left happy travelers. I cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn't eat it. "

"This property was simply amazing… great location, easy to find, and very accurate to the pics if not better! We went with a family of 10 and had everything we could possibly need! Grill, tons of beds and linens, plenty of bathrooms and kitchen supplies! We fished. Had a fire. And just hung out! Used the projector to watch the Kentucky Derby! Was very pleased with our stay and would love to come back when it’s warmer! "

"From the moment I booked I received nothing but exceptional service from Heidi! Once we arrived I noticed the small details. The noise machines in each room, which put the teenager and young children to sleep with ease, the extra blankets for the extra breeze on the cool nights down the never ended supply of hot water and pressure. That’s amazing considering 14 people needed to shower! If Disney World had an parallel universe, it would be this! "

"We used this vrbo for parents weekend at purdue. It worked out great. The house is very clean and has plenty of room for 5 of us and a small dog. the drive between the campus and the house is nice easy driving. The house is walking distance to stores, but when you're fishing on the river, you feel like you're out in the countryyour"

"Used the location due to the proximity to Jasper Pulaski Sandhill Crane Observation Tower. Accommodations were great. Clean and they take pets! Would definitely use again should the need arise!"
