I booked the room very short notice after arriving in Ambleside but was greeted by Kevin who showed me where to park, my room, and pointed out the best pubs and restaurants to visit in the evening. "Extremely well run and homely B&B just outside Keswick. The breakfast was a particular highlight - especially the a la carte menu. Small things (like tea & coffee in the room with fresh milk, flapjacks in reception and USB charging sockets) make a big difference. I also appreciated the excellent advice provided by the hosts on hiking routes and where to eat in Keswick. I only stayed for one night but will stay longer next time. "

"To start off, I didn’t get a code to get into the property, couldn’t get into the room So trying numerous times to get in contact with owners was impossible and even hotel.com couldn’t get in contact We set off to the property to see if we could speak to anybody, and we spoke to a woman who managed to get the codes for us Great room, great bath Just to service was terrible and the staff wasn’t that helpful "
