"This place is truly a hidden gem! We celebrated my husband's birthday here, and it made the occasion incredibly special. Despite considering cancellation after reading some reviews, everything exceeded our expectations once we arrived. Parking was a breeze, thanks to the convenient garage available. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by Amelia at the front desk, whose sincerity and friendliness set a wonderful tone for our stay. She provided us with a map of the property, offered us water, and gave us directions to our room. Shortly after, we received a text encouraging us to reach out if we encountered any issues during our stay. Walking to our beachfront room, we admired a stunning aquarium in the lobby, along with a couple of outdoor table games to enjoy. The room itself was lovely, though we noticed a bit of bird droppings on the balcony, which is to be expected near the beach. The soothing sound of the waves was incredibly calming, and beach access was just one floor down through the gate. The restaurant was fantastic as well! Our server provided excellent customer service, and the food was delicious. They even offered a coloring sheet for my son, which he loved. It was hard to leave this hotel, and I wish we could have stayed longer. During checkout, they kindly offered bottled water for the road, making the process smooth and easy. * If you prefer alternatives to the restaurant, there are plenty of food options just a short walk away on Avenida de la Playa. "

"Location is prime next to the exclusive LJ Beach and Tennis Club. Short walk to LJ Shores restaurants and shops. Excellent and safe neighborhood. Will stay here again."

"Absolutely loved this hotel—so much personality! The views (we were on the second floor) looked straight out at the ocean. The balcony overlooks the iconic curved street leading down to the tip of La Jolla/Oceanfront. We walked just a couple of doors down to Duke’s and had dinner on their oceanview deck. Then we came back and headed to the rooftop bar that extends over the hotel—it was the perfect end to the evening. Parking might be a pain, but you can Valet by pulling right up to the front door. There is a parking garage down the street to the right - if you want to self park. We’ll definitely stay here again!"
