"Nice enough and we were well looked after. Our room was rough around the edges, with a view over a site yard which had trucks running their engine below and smoke blowing in. Hotel was very quiet so service was minimal but good when accessible. No access to any of the grander rooms with views over the gardens. "

They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip."

"Both the chord for the window blind and the light in the bathroom had snapped off. You had to be a least 5 foot tall to turn it on. I had to pull the bed out to plug my bedside lamp in. There were not enough electrical points in the room. They were not doing breakfasts either which was disappointing. The overall appearance would be described as tatty especially the bathroom with tatty paint work on the door surrounds and radiator. The shower was good the beds clean and the towels were fresh."

"I was in town visiting a friend for nearly two weeks, and this little pod was such a delightful place to stay! Situated in a very charming Japanese garden, it was plenty private, cozy and comfortable. It also seemed bigger inside than the pictures might make it look. "Lovely place. Alistair greeted us when we got there, there was fresh milk, wine, and basic pantry things for our use. He was also available if we had any issues which we did not everything was wonderful. Was visiting family in the area and would definitely stay again on future trips!"
