"The staff at Cooks Bay is outstanding. Every person I encountered was helpful and kind. My room was lovely. The beding was comfortably and the AC worked great. The pool bar was enjoyable as was the pool and beach area. I ate at the resturant once for each meal. The Mahi Mahi dinner was delicious. I really loved the sauce on the fish. The continental breakfast was perfect, coffee was strong, and the croissants buttery. Lunch was a huge blue cheese burger, yum. I really enjoyed my stay in Cooks Bay. I rented a scooter on site gor one day and drove around the island, just stunning views! Also, went diving with Moorea Blue Diving, awesome experience. I would definitely recommended Cooks Bay to all of my family and friends. "

"The hotel has bungalows and the restaurant is on the water. It is located directly on the beach in a very nice bay. The restaurant is very good but breakfast is too expensive for the food offered. You need a car to reach it from the airport or the harbor, and to move around the island. No public transportation and taxis are quite expensive."

"Our stay here was amazing! The neighborhood is great, dont miss Moorea Treasure gift shop just a few doors down and Caramel'in cafe across the street is unforgettable and may be the saddest part of going home as their pastries are beyond delicious! The ability to snorkle right off the dock and the stargazing from the pool was truly an unforgettable experience. "

"Small but charming bungalows enclose a refreshing pool only 50ft from the beach. Owners are kind and friendly (so are their dogs) and the staff is incredibly pleasant. Expect a dominantly French-speaking clientele, an expectation of quiet and respectful conduct, and otherwise generally European sensibility. We enjoyed the simple continental breakfast, but if you’re someone who likes a big buffet of meat and eggs or wants to stay up partying around the pool then look elsewhere."

"Very helpful and responsive via text or email. They were very accommodating towards are large group and let us arrive early which was amazing. Beautiful place right on the ocean and very convenient to grocery, restaurants and ferry. There isn’t much of a beach but easy access into water and very shallow. Lots of water toys for the kids and adults! Like any where on the island expect bugs and ants- but they did a great job of cleaning prior.washer was convenient during our stay! "

"This was a fabulous little bungalow slightly off the beaten path. It has a lovely outdoor area where you can sit and watch the sunset. Small, quaint and everything you need. Internet was a little sketchy at times. Would stay there again "

"We had only a short 3 night/4 day stay, but it was more than we imagined it could be. The bungalow was beautifully decorated and had all the conveniences we needed inside. Outside, the very private sandy yard is steps away from the crashing waves of the ocean, just through a gate. Beach shoes are necessary for walking in both directions, as the shore is rocky here. A short walk in one direction took us to some sandy bottom "baths" and a longer walk in the other direction took us to the white sand beach of the Sofitel resort. Along the way we discovered a public beach that locals access through the soccer fields that we passed on the drive to our place. That drive was the only reason I rated the location and neighborhood a 4 instead of 5. Once off the main road, the access road was extremely bumpy and potholed, but as long as went very slowly, we were fine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone with a car who wanted to stay away from the crowds while remaining close to restaurants and sightseeing activities."
