"Overall Villa Lapas Jungle Resort was a good place to stay. We had 2 rooms with breakfast, but did not pay for the all inclusive stay because we are vegetarian and don’t drink alcohol. Positives: 1. Front reception staff, restaurant, and housekeeping are all very nice. 2. The setting is beautiful and well designed facilities. 3. The playground was great for our grandson. This was a huge plus. 4. "We loved this property so much! We spent one night at this location while travelling between Puntarenas and Manuel Antonio National park. Unit had everything we needed and was spacious. There was even a kitchen, which if we had stayed multiple days we would have used this for sure! We took a swim in the pool in the evening and it was a great infinity pool. "I loved Selva Color for a place to stay near Carara National Park and the village of Tarcoles, where you can see the gorgeous Scarlet Macaw Parrots, many other beautiful birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. 10 minute drive. There are Macaws right on the property to squawk their greetings as you check in. The staff was friendly and professional and answered all of my questions in English. The cabin I had was older, but beautifully decorated with the Scarlet Macaw red theme (perfect for me)....
