"The staff, room and grounds were wonderful. The staff was kind, welcoming and communicated with us before arrival. We ate dinner and breakfast on property. Dinner was good, not great. Breakfast has continental and made to order options. Breakfast is a better value. The room was clean and spacious. Only downside is the room doors aren't thick. It's easy to hear voices and luggage as other guests on your floor pass by. Resort itself is incredibly quiet and tranquil. Location is about 10-15 minutes outside of Rotorua which is ideal. We wanted to stay away from the city. The property is unique with its art, birds, animals and bamboo. Bamboo forest makes for some good pictures. It's an older house with updated rooms. The atmosphere is like a bed & breakfast environment. Service staff were all super pleasant and aimed to please. We felt very welcome and would stay here again. "

"Nice, cute place and very clean. Friendly staff. Love the fact that you can have your very own outdoor hot tub if you book a room on the first floor. Disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open as it is still in the process of being approved by the council. The nearby cafes make up for it. Perfect place to stay as it is only 15 minutes away from the Redwood Forest and 20 to 30 minutes away from the geothermal sites south of Rotorua. "
