"We chose ryokan, and there is no attached bathroom for shower. You can either use the public bath or book the private onsen. My son sprained his ankle while visiting the attractions. When we went back to the hotel, the boss gave us ice wrapped in the towel to ice the swollen ankle, arranged with the hospital staff for an appointment with the doctor and called the cab. He even came to our room in the evening to check on us. All the staff were also helpful and friendly. 👍😊 Great breakfast 😋"

Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice. "I enjoyed staying here, but there are some things that can be improved. The air filter in the bathroom had not been cleared in a really long time, if ever. No one has dusted behind the TV in quite some time. I stayed for two weeks, but was only given 1 role of toilet paper and a meager amount of dish soap. The lighting outside is very dim and I was worried about slipping when come back in the evening when it had rained. It would also be helpful to have instructions in English for the appliances....
