"We stayed in a 4 dorm, 2 adults and 2 kids, for 4 nights. The hostel was great for us in terms of location, cost, and room space. They serve some amazing lunch and dinner options there too! The hostel was one of the quietest I've ever stayed in and the facilities were all fairly clean and well equipped. "

"Our family (2 adults, 8yr old son) stayed in a private 2 double bed room for 6 nights in March 2025. We were extremely happy with our experience. The room was very spacious and the bathroom/shower rooms were wonderful. I would definitely consider staying here again and recommend it to small families. There is a shared lounge and kitchen which we utilized to cook additional veggies as we found it lacking when eating out. There are two induction ranges and pots of water come to boil very quickly....

"Worst hostel I’ve been in Japan. It’s dirty, noisy and smelly. The beds are not fixed so it very noisy when you move. The rooms are not well ventilated and smells bad. You can find better for the price. "

"The place is clean, the bedrooms are spacious, the common rooms are cozy, the showers are high pressure, and the staff were very friendly. The only complaint is that the house dog situation was, for the time that I was there, a little concerning. They were quite vocal and unfriendly for the most part, apparently because they were in heat. I believe the staff when they say it's not always like that. But overall I greatly enjoyed Guest House Matsu so much that I kept wanting to spend time there...

Just steps from Motomachi shopping street, and super close to the Minatomotomachi subway station entrance (just across the street). Room was very clean, and I had no complaints about the shared bathroom arrangement. "Looks like this hotel has been recently renovated. Rooms are good size, has a separate toilet and bath which is rare in Japan. There's a handheld shower and deep tub for soaking. Lots of dining options, shopping and transportation nearby. The only thing that was disappointing was having to take a separate elevator from the ground or train level to the hotel lobby. "

"Beautiful hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and nice, rooms were a good size and location was excellent. Only minor complaint is that from the metro level, you need to go up a few elevators to go to your room, just a minor inconvenience. "
