"Our stay here was wonderful. The room was spotless and the staff were incredibly kind. The onsen is small (max 6 ppl) but that was never an issue. The included breakfast was a smallish buffet style of mostly western type foods, salads, scrambled eggs, yogurt, breads. The convenience of the location, minutes away from Gora station, made arriving and doing the Hakone loop so easy! Lovely spot overall. "

"It's a great stay here, friendly staff service but a bit inconvenience as it's situated at hilly terrains, especially carrying large luggages uphill by walk on our arrival. The onzen, kitchen and pantry facilities was nice and convenient. "

"This place is esentially a capsule hotel with a common era and a public bath + onsen. Many positives to this place including: - The common area is very nice with a full kitchen and lounge area with books and tea. - There are indoor and outdoor gender separated onsens and showers. "A great location right on the lake in Hakone. Although it looked to be fully booked we did not see other guests and it was lovely and peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights and were fortunate to see Mt Fuji for two days of our stay. The onsen in the room was amazing, we used it twice a day or more, so relaxing. It could fit two people, and we loved how the doors opened up to look at the view. We were on level 2 and if you can I would suggest trying to get a room level 3 or higher as we did have some...

"It is a historic hotel so expect the look to be a little dated, however, that is what adds charm to it. Overall a comfortable hotel, bathroom not so great (review is for FORESTWING TWIN FOREST SIDE). French restaurant is very nice for dinner as well as breakfast, it feels a little formal but a nice experience. Hotel garden is nice, staff is very helpful."

"This hotel was excellent - fantastic and helpful service, very clean both in the rooms and in the common areas, great food, serene atmosphere, and generously sized rooms. Our room had a balcony with a private onsen, which was absolutely worth the splurge. The view was beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfy the futons were when we slept. The location was convenient to the bus lines but still so peaceful and quiet. 10/10 stars, without hesitation. I would love to come back!"
