"Absolutely loved our stay at Somerville hotel, everything was just perfect when we arrived, the bed was incredible it was so so so comfy, and the breakfast was delicious!!! The hosts were really lovely and welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble. "Eight members of our family spent a lovely long weekend at Riversdale Lodge to celebrate two 80th birthdays and everyone had a fantastic time. The house is lovely and in a gorgeous setting - we felt totally relaxed immediately on arrival. The beds are very comfortable, the communal spaces inside and out were spacious and everything needed was provided. Great location and everything about our stay was fab!😊 Lovely apartment which had everythiing you could need. The welcome email was helpful and insightful. Gloucester Robinswood Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Good, but....

"Staff were excellent, without exception. Warm and friendly and entirely welcoming. The bed was comfortable either side of the centreline, although very obviously two singles zipped together which made for a dip in the middle. Blackout curtains were a positive too. Downsides: soundproofing is poor. You can hear every door closing and too many conversations from other rooms. The shower pressure was painfully weak (but the water was always reliably hot on demand). Finally, if you have mobility issues make sure you book an accessible room, otherwise you will be faced with a plethora of small staircases and a menagerie of random doors. "

"Lovely few nights at the Two Rivers. Nice pub for drinks and food (only had a sandwich for lunch on arrival which was very good) drinks choices was great. Walking distance to town centre for more food and entertainment. Very close to Seven bridge for the Parkrun. An enjoyable stay."

Superb

"This is the third year we have stayed to celebrate an AGM. Frankly we were very disorganised re. Numbers. But the Pilgrim were amazing accommodating 40/45 people all very last minute, the food was totally amazing bearing in mind there were so many different variables for a three course meal coming of their table D’hote menu. All delivered in flustered and with smiles on faces. The kitchen staff must have been frantic but boy did they deliver. Thank you again and see you all on December 1st 2025. "

Comfortable stay near Gloucester

"Very nice hotel within easy reach of the M5 and Gloucester. Room was comfortable and the breakfast was fine with hot food, cereals and toast. Plenty of room in the car park and very friendly staff. Worked out well for a couple of days"
