"It's super close to the line to Hakone Ropeway! Also a great place. We went on a weekend and it wasn't really that packed at all. The onsens were super clean, safe, and relaxing. Not much chit-chatting like the ones in the US which I LOVED. It was perfect. We got a room with a private onsen and it was cute - it was just like a wooden box hahaha but it was a vibe and really nice. "The Hakone Pax Yoshino is classed as a 3-star hotel. However despite its ageing facilities and room furnishings, this property still delivered a 4-star ryokan-style hotel accommodation for an affordable price. We stayed in a riverview room with twin beds, low-bed configuration. Then, we transferred to a standard room for our second night. "Beatiful, very well located, clean ryokan. Service and staff were amazing. Excellent food. Walking distance from Hakone-Yumoto station. Large tatame room, great shower and sauna. Missed a place to sit besides floor chairs, but that is what you sign for when in a traditional ryokan. Would surely be back!"

"The service was exceptional as were the dinners and breakfasts. The insensitive were are well equipped and relaxing after a day of exploring. The property is a short walk from the rope way. The only reason I didn’t give this property a five star is that is is old and in need of renovations ( peeling linoleum and water (?) stains in the toilet area. "

"Came back here after 7 years with my family. The private baths were great! Food was amazing. But the thing with the public baths is that you’re with other people who don’t know the bath etiquette— meaning there’s going to be lots of long hair floating in the women’s bath and people who don’t scrub down before getting in. Wish there was a little more signage that’s obvious for those who don’t speak/read Japanese. Getting into the outdoors bath and having a hairball stick to me didn’t feel...
