"Hotel was tranquil and reasonably clean. However, outdoor bathroom and gaps in the wooden windows meant there were heaps of mosquitoes even in the hotel room. The toilet which was located outdoors was also often wet during rainy season. Location wise, it was close to a number of tourist spots that our kids enjoyed. However, this also meant prices within the hotel and surroundings can be quite expensive. Overall, the staff were friendly and food was great. Not sure if I would recommend visiting...

"It was amazing to stay at thewakanda. Located in a quiet place with a magnificent rice padi field setting that will restore your sense of peace and calm. The restaurant is great as well, and don't sleep on the activities run by the resort, especially the cycling trip to a nearby waterfall."

"The conditions of this property were absolutely disgusting. Considering what they charge per night after 2 nights I had to leave. The green mould growing around the exhaust fan, black mould and small mushrooms growing around the toilet, silicone in the shower, and on the tiles: not to mention white mould coming through on the bedroom feature wall cement rendering. "Beautiful setting , fantastic pool , very secluded but service at the hotel was non existent , very , very limited menu at the restaurant ( rat bait in the corner) Poor transport from the hotel , only one way . Some of the staff were most unhelpful and didn't seem to care . We left after two days and went elsewhere for our last three days ."

"The family and staff who own and run this resort are absolutely incredible. The service and willingness to please is beyond compare. The food was some of the best we had after being in Indonesia for 2 weeks. If going to the zoo to ha e breakfast with the elephants and orangutans is on your list, this resort is convenient and very special. We would highly recommend and we have stayed all over Bali and the World. Well run place with people who genuinely care. "

"I had the most amazing stay. This is a pretty small hotel where the staff calls you by your name. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was healthy and delicious and the breakfast server, Anik, was amazing. She made me feel so at home and relaxed. Morning yoga was excellent and the hotel has a really cool sauna and nice salt water pool. My flight was 24 hours delayed and the hotel staff were kind enough to extend my stay one day without charging extra. I loved this place so...
