"Perfect little overnight stop whilst my fiancée and I were journeying from London to the Lakes. Our double room was very clean, well kept and absolutely silent despite the Christmas do that was taking place in the bar downstairs, which made for a peaceful stay. The buffet breakfast, which included a full English spread and plenty of pastries, yogurts and fruits, was plentiful and all very tasty. The historic nature of the building (an old school so I have read) also provided a unique charm. We would certainly stay here again if venturing nearby."

"Our two night stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff, especially Steph on reception went over and above to make sure we had everything we wanted. Everyone we encountered was polite, helpful and a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was superb and kept very well stocked, the bar food was also great. Bedroom clean, had everything we needed and comfortable. We will be back "
