"Property took my money, then advised us not to travel at less than 24hrs notice, leaving me without a place to stay and without refund. Hotels.com did nothing about it. The property are now ignoring hotels.com and therefore no refund will be issued. Utter madness. I have used this website for many stays over many years. I will not be using again"

"Really enjoyed the stay, the yurt was great and the spa sort of expensive but at the same time where else gives you full ownership of a spa for 3 hours? Not many places so for that I would say it was worth it. Very clean shower facilities were great. The yogurt itself is not very private because it’s so close to the manor when you walk out the door you’re in view of the top windows however it’s located 15 minutes away from a few different trails which were really fun to take the dog. "We could’nt get access into the property and couldn’t get hold of the managing agent, spent 2 hrs trying to get in, gave up and the whole area was fully booked. Absolute nightmare. The check in instructions were to download an app and then there were no details like property number, none of the key boxes were responsive. "Apartment was lovely - they had thought of everything, but what then let it down, was the use of cheap blinds that were almost see through and poorly fitting, and no curtains in the bedroom! There was also an overwhelming smell of what seemed to be damp. The apartment was really well thought out and very comfortable, but just let down by those 2 things."

"Lovely hotel lovely grounds and surroundings. Beautiful building, very polite and professional staff who couldn't do enough for you. Excellent food, dinner and breakfast . Leisure centre is brilliant with well equipped gymn and lovely swimming pool with fantastic health suite. We had a suite room and it was furnished lovely, very spacious and very peaceful. There was not one bad point or area I could suggest an improvement with this hotel. It's fantastic."

"This used to be the best hotel in Grimsby during the 1970s/80s. To be honest it still is very good, especially for the price. The outside would benefit from a lick of paint, but the staff are attentive, polite and helpful, the breakfast is very good with plenty of choice, although kippers and smoked haddock would absolutely smash it. I also enjoyed dinner here, which was very nice. The rooms are large enough, nicely decorated and comfortable, with nice views over the golf course. I will be staying here again."
