"Like a Downton Abbey experience. A grand palacios hotel. Although large, it felt warm, homely and welcoming. Upgraded to a suite which was just wonderful. So comfortable, spacious yet again a homely feel. Throughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We were able to secure our luggage and explore York ahead of checking in . They kindly kept our luggage safely after checking out also so again we could enjoy our ambling through the streets of York. Great choices for...

"Was a nice hotel, clean and modern. 2 bad things were the queen size bed is 2 singles pushed together so not comfortable with the 2 mattresses in the middle and an awful smell in bathroom when using sink. "

"As always we had a wonderful stay, our room was on the 11th floor with amazing views of the city. Our check-in was with Mae and she was very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Only one negative, the pillows are not good. Overall a lovely stay."

"I liked the layout where the toilet and shower were in little separate cubicles. Decent shower, the room was quite basic but with everything you need, and the price was very good. Good location and parking agreement in the nearby multi storey for approx £10 per day."

"Very comfortable 1-night stay. Convenient location for the city centre, with lots of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The room was nice and well-kept, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. No parking available when we arrived, but we were able to find a space in the public car park next to it after waiting for 10 mins for a space to free up."

"Lovely hotel in easy walking distance to town centre. Very traditional but in a modern way. Room was huge with lovely bedding towels and toiletries etc although furniture was a little tired. Restaurant and bar areas was very comfy and staff provided excellent service. Spa area was good although small however changing rooms were not very clean and the lockers were in a bad state of repair. Would definitely revisit hotel. "

"Always great when we stay at the little hide. We have been a few times just me and my fellas little getaway. Its our peace place with out the kiddies. Lovely and quite this time of year. Was on the cold side with the weather but the heater in the pod was amazeing at keeping you toastie. The only down fall for me was the magpie that seemd to haunt me whilst there hahaha. Really funny. The cafe food is excellent good price. Absolutely love this place."
